Andrea is a talented circus artist from Guadalajara, Mexico. She discovered her love for circus in 2011 and trained with local companies like Cirko Alebrije and teachers such as Juan Luis González.
In 2021, Andrea graduated and specialised in aerial straps from the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) with her solo act, "L’aube." This beautiful aerial performance is inspired by the Belgian skies and the Aztec smoking mirror, telling a story from dawn to dawn.
Later that year, she co-founded Soif Totale, a circus company in Belgium with her classmates from ESAC. They produce and tour two multidisciplinary shows: DIVE IN, an indoor show, and PROLOGUE, a street show.
Andrea is skilled in many circus disciplines, specialising in aerial straps, straps loop and aerial silk. She also does hand-to-hand, hair hanging, hammock and hoop. She also has a strong background in classical ballet, which she started at the age of three, and contemporary dance.
As a dedicated circus performer and artist, Andrea has also devoted over 8 years to teaching and inspiring students in various countries around the world. Their passion for the circus arts is matched only by their enthusiasm for education, and they have honed their teaching skills to create engaging, inclusive, and dynamic learning environments. Being fluent in three languages has enabled Andrea to connect with a diverse range of students, enhancing their learning experience and fostering a deeper appreciation for the circus arts.
Apart from circus and dance, Andrea has a solid foundation in graphic design, having specialised in it during high school. And she is passionate of visual arts and photography.

Andrea will be teaching four Aerial Silk workshops at our event on Saturday and Sunday!
1. Aerial Silk Wheel-Downs - Saturday, September 7th - 16:30 - 18:30
The aim of this workshop is to introducing the dynamic movements on aerial silk. In this workshop we will learn the bases and variations with a focus on wheel-downs in a safe way.
These ideas will be applied to some basic principles of aerial work such a suspension, core strength, full lift, extension inversion stretching and rotation.
We will give technical emphasis on dynamic movements, tempos and transitions.
Prerequisites: This workshop is suitable for aerial artists with intermediate level (inversion on the air, straddle up on two arms)
2. Aerial Silk Wheel-Downs* - Saturday, September 7th - 19:00 - 21:00
Same as 1., only a bit later ;-)
2. Aerial Silk Wheel-Downs (Teenager Edition!) - Saturday, September 7th - 19:00 - 21:00 CANCELLED! Not enough Teenagers!
The aim of this workshop is to introducing the dynamic movements on aerial silk. In this workshop we will learn bases and variations to developed falls and focus on wheel down in a safe way.

3. Aerial Silk Beginners - Scissors and Invertions - Sunday, September 8th - 14:00 - 16:00
Inversions on the air can be frustrating for students, but they are important for aerial disciplines. This workshop will give a good technical grounding in working on the silk and the floor to achieve inversions and develop sequences with them.
We will also find a way to use the scissors and inversion in a dynamic way where we can save our energy.
4. Aerial Silk Falls - Sunday, September 8th - 16:30 - 18:30
